Snyderman/Moore HealthCare Scholar
Devika (pronounced Day-vika) is a third-year medical student at the Duke University School of Medicine and one of the recipients of the Snyderman/Moore Research Award for the 2024-25 academic year. At the Center, her research will focus on the capabilities of AI in understanding and providing solutions to common postoperative complications and socioeconomic difficulties faced by surgical patients. She is interested in a surgical career, and in the future hopes to integrate her clinical and health policy knowledge to influence public and preventive health and to reduce the burden of healthcare costs on patients. She completed a B.S. In Human Biology and Society with a concentration in Health Policy at UCLA.
